More than 40 families were evacuated from a Borivali building in the nick of time on Wednesday morning after one of its pillars cracked and split, causing the 33-year-old structure to tilt.
The incident comes two days after a portion of a residential building in Mahim collapsed, killing 10, and raises doubts about the BMC’s process for surveying old structures.
A four-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a falling mirror at a designer outlet store.
The youngster suffered serious head injuries in the accident, which happened in the Hugo Boss store at Bicester Village, a designer outlet centre in Oxfordshire.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, but died four days later.
