A 15-year-old boy was injured in a farming accident Friday in the town of Ridgeville.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Doug Wallerman, 35, and Jacob Moore, 15, were switching chopper boxes in a hay field. Moore had just connected a chopper box to the tractor Wallerman was operating and was climbing back onto the tractor he was using when Wallerman began to pull away.
The chopper box connected to Wallerman’s tractor caught the left tire on Moore’s tractor. This caused Moore’s tractor to overturn on top of him, pinning him underneath it.
