Chatsworth House Trust has been accused of breaching health and safety laws after a man died at horse trials held at the estate.
The trust and Felicity Reason, an organiser of the trials, have pleaded not guilty at a hearing held at Derby Crown Court today.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Dales District Council said: “Derbyshire Dales District Council has decided to prosecute the Chatsworth House Trust and Felicity Jane Reason for alleged offences committed under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
