"These 2 photos show a workman pruning large palm trees in
the Protur Bonaire Hotel pool complex at Cala Bona, Majorca. He
climbed the palm successfully using climbing irons and safety
harness but totally ignored any form of exclusion zone around
the ground area. The 'safety man' allowed guests to walk around
the pool edge whilst large, pruned, palm fronds were being
dropped at random. There were several near misses and as can be
seen, guests and users of the toddlers pool were left in close
proximity to the work area. The only minor injury was to the
safety man who was clearing up debris as it was dropped. He was
struck on the head and was not wearing head protection. He is
the guy in first photo having a quiet smoke behind the nearest
palm!"
